On November 8th, the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) of the Central European University hosted the roundtable ‘Judging Jests: Humor, Free Speech and the Law’. The event was organized in the framework of the NETIAS project ‘Cartoons in Court’ (2020-2024), coordinated by Alberto Godioli. In addition to presentations by the ‘Cartoons in Court’ team members (Alberto Godioli, Andrew Bricker, Vicky and Kelly Breemen, Ana Pedrazzini and Tjeerd Royaards), the program featured a conversation with Hungarian cartoonists Gábor Pápai.
